Simerics was one of the silver sponsors for the University of Toronto Formula Racing (UTFR) Team 2025. UTFR is a student-run engineering design team that designs, builds, and races a new formula-style electric race car each year. The team is based at the University of Toronto’s St. George campus; comprised of enthusiastic undergraduate & graduate students from various faculties.
Team Simerics supported the UTFR team in developing a methodology for their Planetary gear system in the UT25 electric car.
The team unveiled its latest car, UT25, at Hart House on March 31, 2025.
